Editor's Note

[ Dancing Smoking Girl in Pantsuit ] You know how you're walking around minding your own business one day when suddenly it's seven months later and you haven't updated your web page, and you want to but it's a huge mess, and there are links that don't work all over the place, and it's just a huge, grisly, snarly, tangled, fettucini type of mess?

You know where I'm going with this, right? You've seen it for yourself, you've experienced it first hand. It's a mad, sad, un-coordinated, broken-linked world out there. You thought it would be different here, you thought we'd be able to cut it. Well heck, we just couldn't do it.

The Flying Inkpot is adrift, it's lost at sea, it's sailing at half-mast. It's nodding off, it's out to lunch, behind time, dragging its feet.

Why, .. why? We hear you cry out in anguish, as you contemplate hurling yourself off the cliffs of Dover, or the nearest two-storey walk-up. The Inkpot Is No More!

Well, not quite. We've got three fabulouso sections chugging away: the award-winning Classical Music section (updated every two weeks, like clockwork), Film (new articles every month, hey we're hip) and Theatre (put 'em up, put 'em up!).

Our resource directories (zines, news, movielinks) are updated every two or three months, so report dead links or submit your new site as you will.

Famously dead, or dormant, or cocooning until the day of their fabulous metamorphosis (translation: until we can get our editors to freaking come back to us), are the Music and Book review sections. You can still read them, and check out our older articles, but for the time being, they're not going to be tripping out the latest and greatest. Occasionally, the TV section snorts to life for a good laugh at our local TV station.

But just so you know what's what, we've decided to bury our dead, or at least mark them, so we won't be getting no "why aren't you updating yourselves" letters from the hysterical mob. Every time you see this graphic:

Well it's self-explanatory really. The head has spoken, and that's about it.

But what about you? How'd you like to jump into the fray, the froth, the filth .. erm, you know. The Inkpot, big as it is, would love new writers in all and any categories, so give us a ring (please first check out our Frequently Unasked Questions list) or an email, and if at first you don't succeed, try and try again.

Thanks much. Toodles.
