why am I dancing alone tonight?
The moon shines bright
the stars twinkle brilliantly
the moon has the stars...
what about me?
I dance alone under the moonlight
the music has stopped now
but..., I'm
still dancing, still solitary
the silence of the night
screams with my heart
flooding the darkness
with a cry
that only my ears hear
I’m left alone to face
the music...
even my shadow seems alone
for she’s curled up so small
she’s almost not there...
and I dance alone....

in nights when the rain falls... through its comforting rhythm there’s a lullaby hushing away my disquietness voyaging to the seas of reverie and dream my heart be stills with serenity the night always seem to know when to rain when to take it all away to leave me with nothing but in ethereal harmony with myself. ~© Elena Ho, December 1996
Where will I find
Myself,
When I do?
And if I awoke
The moment I fall,
Will I meet my soul?
